On the Success of a Computer in the Game of Go

Following the success of the computer program AlphaGo, which defeated a human in the game of Go, discussions about the progress of artificial intelligence and the point of singularity—when artificial intelligence is expected to surpass human intelligence—have once again intensified. Academician Prof. Dr. Ivan Bratko from the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, spoke about these issues for the Saturday supplement of the newspaper Delo.
