Sports Shoes Developed Based on Analysis of 3D Foot Scans

Media reported that Adidas and Lululemon developed new women’s sports shoes based on the results of a study in which Slovenian researchers analyzed more than one million 3D foot scans.

The study was published in the journal Scientific Reports and involved Jure Žabkar from FRI, Sašo Džeroski from the Jožef Stefan Institute, and Aleš Jurca from the Swedish company Volumental. The achievement gained additional attention when the research was cited in an Adidas advertisement.
