Interview with Dr. Ivan Bratko in Mladina

In issue 34 of the magazine Mladina, published on August 25, 2023, the central interview featured academician Professor Dr. Ivan Bratko from FRI.

Dr. Bratko, as one of the pioneers of artificial intelligence and machine learning, explains in the interview the beginnings of research in this field, the questionable theory of technological singularity—where artificial intelligence is expected to surpass human intelligence—and the need for regulation. A larger part of the interview is devoted to discussing the dangers of misuse of artificial intelligence, particularly the threat it poses to democracy and political processes.
