Invitation to the AI for Science Conference

The international AI for Science conference will take place at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana (UL FRI), from September 22 to 26, 2025.

The Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Society (SLAIS), in collaboration with the University of Ljubljana, the Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS), and the University of Nova Gorica, will organize the traditional 28th international Discovery Science conference, which will this time last five days and will be co-located with other events and special thematic sessions.

Colleagues from UL FRI are closely involved in organizing the event. The organizing committee is chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Vida Groznik, while the program committees of individual sections are chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksander Sadikov (AI & Life Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Marko Robnik Šikonja together with Dr. Špela Arhar Holdt (AI & Digital Humanities).

The conference will bring together researchers, leading AI experts, and scientists who use artificial intelligence to solve complex problems in their fields. The aim of the conference is to present the latest developments in the application of artificial intelligence across various scientific disciplines, foster collaboration between academia and industry, and support further advancement of AI in Europe and beyond.
